Vaquita teeth

Vaquita have 32-44 teeth on the upper jaw and 34-40 on the lower. This means a Vaquita can have 66-84 teeth in total, with the average at around 74 teeth.

    • I do not know exactly how large the teeth are at the moment, but I should be able to enlighten you in a day or so. In the meantime, I do know that porpoises differentiate from dolphins in that they have spade-shaped teeth, unlike the dolphins’ conical ones, and the Vaquita is no exception.
